A.Students can use the HBS Citation Guide for guidance in writing papers and projects and also take advantage of our online learning module, Learn with Baker Library: Citing Sources & Academic Integrity (also see attached addendum on citing generative AI).
Harvard University provides guidance on citation styles, such as APA, MLA, Chicago, and Blue Book (legal).
Citation tools can help collect and organize your sources. Two popular citation tools are:
- EndNote
- HBS faculty, staff, and doctoral students can have EndNote installed by contacting TSS at ithelp@hbs.edu or 495-6600 to place an order. There is a charge for the software.
- See EndNote at Harvard for more information and instructions on using EndNote with Harvard resources. Additional help can be found on the EndNote Online User Manual and on YouTube.
- Please note that saving files to an EndNote compatible format works better in Internet Explorer than Firefox.
- Zotero is a free open-source citation too that lives in your browser.
- Please note that Zotero works better with Firefox or Chrome.
